Job Description

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance has an opening for an Agency Services Assistant Manager, located in our Phoenix office. This position is responsible for maintain overall compliance, policies and procedures for the Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) performed by agency partners. 

Key Responsibilities of the Agency Services Assistant Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall contract compliance and monthly reporting responsibility to Arizona Department of Economic Security for the CSFP contract as well as for SNAP.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures for all Agency Services programs related to CSFP and SNAP.
  • Assist in assessing overall health and sustainability of CSFP agency partners and preparing strategy for sustainability throughout SMFBA service area.
  • Assess need of CSFP in SMFBA service area and recruit new partner sites.
  • Manage the process for all new CSFP agency applications, determination of new partnerships, and new agency training and orientation.
  • Manage the overall implementation and training of Link2Feed with CSFP sites.
  • Manage any complaints against CSFP agencies and/or SNAP outreach to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Supervise Agency Service Specialists (CSFP) and SNAP Coordinators.
  • Assists Agency Services Manager with departmental training.
  • Develops relationships and collaborative efforts with agencies to maximize partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 Year Management experience, 3 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
