Agency Services Specialist - Mohave County

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance has an opening for an Agency Services Specialist. This job allows for telecommuting but will require travel to assigned agencies in the Mohave County area. This position is responsible for training and compliance of all programs executed by agency partners within an assigned geographic region.  Programs include TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), donated food, mobile distributions, grocery rescue and agency shopping.

Agency Services Specialist is responsible for training, relationship development, program expansion and maintaining compliance of all programs executed by agency partners within an assigned geographic region. Programs include TEFAP, CSFP, grocery rescue, school pantry and others.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for maintaining relationships and knowledge of SMFBA agency partners in assigned geographic region
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist in problem solving with assigned agencies using critical thinking and a swift ability to react
  • Monitor and audit assigned agency partners for USDA, DES, and Feeding America compliance related to specific program and food safety requirements
  • Conduct trainings as required or needed for assigned agencies to bring into or maintain program compliance
  • Responsible for the auditing and analysis of monthly agency reports for assigned agencies within geographic area
  • Document, record and investigate any grievance pertaining to assigned agencies, report to DES and SMFBA Manager as needed.
  • Conduct corrective action as needed for non-compliant agencies including placing agencies on probation, suspension and/or recommending termination if necessary
  • Assess expansion capacity of assigned agencies and assist with plan development to encourage agency growth and increase service ability in assigned service area
  • Conduct and document site visits to potential, new, and existing agency partners within assigned service area on a regular basis
  • Ability to utilize and navigate electronic databases in order to provide monthly status reports and agency updates as needed
  • Coordinate distribution, delivery dates and product inventory with Agency Services, Allocations, Logistics and Transportation Departments

Qualifications:

  • Associate?s degree/Bachelor?s degree (preferred)
  • Demonstrated Customer Service Skills
  • Strong organizational skills, problem solving abilities and detail oriented
  • Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Able to travel on a regular basis, including occasional overnight site visits
  • Positive team player with desire to grow & learn
  • Ability to quickly respond, reevaluate and reprioritize daily tasks
