Customer Service Representative

St. Mary's Food Bank is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for our growing Mobile Distribution team. The Customer Service Representative will work alongside the Home Delivery team and help food-insecure families in Arizona by: Facilitating pick up and drop off procedures for third party delivery companies partnering with SMFB; Developing processes and system to coordinate multiple delivery companies simultaneously; Conducting outreach to organizations that may have large numbers of families in need of food deliveries; Conducting outreach to remind home delivery clients of their upcoming deliveries;  Increasing the number of home deliveries by contacting food-insecure families to place them on regular delivery schedules; Reporting impact of food distributions through data management, data analytics, and internal meetings. 

Job Duties:

  • Expand access for food insecure families to hunger relief programs. Register families in need for the home delivery program on either a one-time or regular delivery schedule based on program requirements.
  •  Assign daily deliveries to third-party delivery companies based on companies’ requirements, availability, and caseload.
  • Facilitate pick up and returns by third-party delivery companies.
  • Coordinate communication efforts with scheduled deliveries through a new automated communication system. Conduct research to identify organizations or residential communities that may have large number of families in need of food deliveries but are unable to travel to a food bank.
  •  Report the impact of food distributions through data entry using a platform called Link2Feed, data management, data analytics, and internal meetings.
  • Maintain first-hand knowledge of all USDA programs such as the Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Qualifications:

  • Some College, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Demonstrated Customer Service Skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Be a team player with a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to move and/life 30+ pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of times while working food distributions.
  • Ability to travel in-state as needed
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
