Development Coordinator - Donor Events

St. Mary's Food Bank is currently seeking a Development Coordinator to collaborate with members of the Development Department to retain and elevate donor giving and provide excellent customer service to donors. Under the direction of the Manager of Charitable Support, plan and execute donor stewardship events to engage food bank donors of varying levels of support. Must be highly organized. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for on-site activities for general donors including donor tours and emergency food box packing events. Work with volunteer team to determine event dates and activities, coordinate all aspects of producing and mailing invitations, collect RSVPs, notify staff of attendees, serve as host of the event and perform event analysis.
  • Responsible for off-site events for general donors "Meet and Greet" events. Work with vendors to secure locations, coordinate all aspects of producing and mailing invitations, collect RSVPs, notify staff of attendees, serve as host of the event and perform event analysis.
  • Maintain an assigned portfolio of up to 750 current and prospective donor households.
  • Steward donors with a variety of personal communications: personal thank-you phone calls, emails, notes, tours, birthday cards, donorversary, Thanksgiving and holiday cards, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagements, communications, and donor information in the departmental database.
  • Assist with incoming phone calls to the department.
  • Ability to conduct two hour-walking donor tours of operation. 
  • Assist with front desk phone coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to work closely with fellow staff members and volunteers.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Raiser’s Edge 7 (preferred) and Microsoft Office (required).
  • Possess a high level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Flexible and willing to acquire new or shift responsibilities.
  • Stewardship skills with meticulous follow-through and record keeping
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet and database software and ability to operate basic office equipment.
