Mobile Distribution Coordinator

The Mobile Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for assisting agencies who are hoping to host a food distribution in their communities, lead distributions in areas that show large food-insecurity rates and represent St. Mary’s Food Bank in communities within our service area.    

Based in either Flagstaff or Chinle, as a Mobile Distribution Coordinator your job role will change each day to assist locations that need your support. The Mobile Distribution Coordinator(s) work with the Mobile Distribution Team and community partners and volunteers to help locations build the infrastructure needed to run a successful food program and create tools needed for sustainable programming into the future. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, can work independently, in a fast-paced environment, has a keen sense of urgency, and committed to always providing exceptional service to both fellow team members and clients alike.    

Ideal candidates for the Mobile Distribution Coordinator role, will have experience in one or more of these areas:  

  • Recruiting, Training and Managing community volunteers 
  • Working with logistics and/creating organizational systems 
  • Event Planning  
  • Leadership and Public Speaking 
  • Experience working in the Social Service Sector or with food-insecure populations.

 All candidates for the Mobile Distribution Coordinator role must be able to meet the following qualifications:   

  • Be willing to be based out of either the Flagstaff offices or the Chinle offices
  • Be a Team Player with a positive, friendly attitudes. 
  • Have excellent customer service skills. 
  • Ability to move and/lift 50+ lbs. on a consistent basis. 
  • Good driving record 
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of times while working food distributions. 
  • Willing to travel throughout Arizona to work food distributions where needed. 
  • Willing to work 3-7 overnights per month. 
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation policies.  

Salary range is $42,000-$46,000/year depending on experience.
